Joy was in Seattle, and I decided to go on a roadtrip from Albuquerque to Queen Creek (Heather and Bailey) and Tucson, Arizona (Amy and Dale); San Diego (Karen G., Lisa, Karen T., Sam & Anita), Santa Monica, and San Francisco (Bethanie), California; Sea Side, Oregon; Seattle, Washington (Joy); Boise, Idaho (Joe); Durango (Cynthia and Eric) and Rifle (Penny and Beau), Colorado; and Raton, New Mexico (Lisa). I was able to catch up with friends and family I had not seen since before I left for Australia in 2003. We also had a great outreach at my church, Hoffmantown West, where we went out in numerous teams and blessed our community. It was part of a study "40 Days of Community" by Rick Warren who wrote the Purpose Driven Life. In the study, we found out that we are better when we are working together and have unity in our plans to serve God. In June, I was in a "hit and run" car accident, and my car was pretty much totaled, but the culprit was caught and I am still in legal proceedings. Luckily, I did not seem to be hurt and the court ordered that I be reimbursed for all of my expenses related to the accident.
