TSA

iReport — I was flying home from overseas and went through Chicago O’Hare airport. The time and date was between 6:30 to 7:00 PM of February 27, 2011. The location was terminal 1 gate B 10. While waiting for my flight I observed an off duty employee with United Airlines at the boarding gate computer station. He had two friends with him. I can only guess that were taking flights somewhere or they would not have been in the boarding area. He appeared to be looking at flights on the computer and his friends were looking over his shoulder at the monitor. There were no on duty employees around at the time. I did not feel that passengers should be viewing flights in such a fashion. I feel that this is a breach of flyers privacy. I expressed my concern to a TSA agent. He in turn informed two other agents. While they were approaching the gate to find out what was going on they ran into a supervisor with United Airlines. I expressed my concern that this was a very non professional way to conduct business. I also expressed my thoughts that this was a breech of flyers privacy. The supervisor went to the computer station and seen that the off duty employee had his ID tag around his neck. The supervisor then informed me that he was an employee and that it was okay for him to be doing this. I asked him if it was also okay for other passengers to be looking at this information. I informed him that I had a video of it. He just walked away from me and so did the TSA agents.I showed the video to a few other passengers and asked their opinion of this. They also agreed that it was not a professional way to conduct business. One passenger overhead me talking to the supervisor and TSA agents and as myself he was somewhat shocked at the way this was dealt with by both TSA and the United Airlines supervisor. Please show this on the air today and get the publics opinion of this. I feel that it is very wrong.Violated once again by our Countries security.
