A TOAST TO THE NEW ROYAL COUPLE...HERE’S TO EYES

Ever since I can remember, admiration for Royal families has long been a tradition in my family. My Grandmother kept current and admired Queen Elizabeth; My Mother adored Princess Grace and I watched every minute of Lady Diana’s life. From the beginning to the end, I observed Diana's every move. I watched her as she shyly hid behind Charles at events. I waited in agonizing anticipation at her stepping out of the Royal carriage on her wedding day to finally get a glimpse of the much talked about wedding dress. I remember her stride in mastering public appearances and braving speeches and the press. But most of all, becoming a genuine "Queen of Humanity" as she carried out with some of the most heroic humanitarian efforts of our time. I can only envision her now as a true Angel in Heaven looking over all of us. I remember the day she held baby William in her arms after giving birth. Diana opened her door to share those precious moments and love of her children with all of us...somehow making us feel as though we had royal privileges to peek in on their everyday lives. I always felt as though I was right there with her. I still have a photo of the late Princess hanging on my wall and look at it every day to remind myself of what a great example looks like. My oldest son is now 31-years old. By television, newspapers and magazine articles, while I grew up with Diana, he grew up with Will.
