2010 Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix (Pictures)

Red Bull won the constructors championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix with a dominant 1-2. None of the other teams could really match them on a dry track. Sebastian Vettel led the race from start to finish to take his 4th win of the season. Mark Webber matched him for pace every lap, but with identical machinery, there was no chance of overtaking Vettel on track. Fernando Alonso would be pleased to take the final podium spot, thereby keeping a healthy championship lead of 8 points going into the final race at Abu Dhabi. Lewis Hamilton finished 4th, barely keeping his championship hopes alive. He is 24 points behind Alonso, and needs to win the next race and requires the other contenders to have a disastrous race. Jenson Button drove a great strategic race to finish 5th after starting 11th. His championship chances are now officially impossible. The two Mercedes cars of Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher finished 6th and 7th. Pole setter Nico Hulkenberg struggled on the dry track to finish 8th. Robert Kubica and Kamui Kobayashi finished 9th and 10th to wrap up the points positions. The championship points are as follows: Alonso on 246; Webber on 238; Vettel on 231 and Hamilton on 222. Alonso needs a 2nd place in the next race to wrap up the championship. The rest of them would need to win or have Alonso crash out. The permutations are numerous.
