How To Spot Fake Ticket Websites: 1) Be wary of search engine results. Just because a site comes out on top for a search for "Take That tickets", it doesn’t mean the company is legitimate or will supply you with a valid concert ticket. Anyone can buy links on Google, even those sites which have no intention of supplying any tickets. 2) Do your research. Check to see whether the company has been endorsed by events or brands that you recognise. Legitimate ticket resale websites will have partnerships with leading entertainment properties. 3) Take some time to find out about the company which is listing the tickets. They may have official looking logos and photos and links to the main concert venues but this isn't a guarantee of authenticity. 4) Search newspapers to find out if the company has been written about positively and has a good reputation. If there is no record of the company then caution is advised. 5) Is the company based in the UK? Many of the fraudulent websites operate from outside the UK to avoid the authorities. 6) Be careful when using eBay. If the tickets don't arrive or they turn out to be counterfeit, there will be no refund or replacement. 7) If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is. Fraudsters will offer tickets at eye-catchingly low prices to entice people to buy.
