Langenhahn takes as many as three thousand pictures and then puts them together on his computer to create a single image. The resulting pieces formed from compressed paper are one of a kind and extremely robust. Nowadays 3-D printer materials and technology have advanced to the extent that they are becoming affordable for individual use. We found out what interesting possibilities today’s 3D printers can offer.Architect Zeynep FadilliogluZeynep Fadillioglu is one of Turkey’s most accomplished interior designers. She became the first woman in the Muslim world to oversee the building of a mosque, the modern Sakirin Mosque in her hometown Istanbul. Fadillioglu has also outfitted top hotels and restaurants.Modern Glass Art from MuranoThe community of Murano outside Venice is famous for its glass industry. But to get away from producing tourist souvenirs, artisan Adriano Berengo has founded a studio dedicated to promoting modern-day art glass. Studio Berengo works with well-known contemporary artists and some of their works are displayed in a show that coincides with the Venice Biennale.
