Press conference to unveil county shakeup
a shakeup is coming to bernalillo county. later this morning, county officials will announce deputy public safety manager--john dantis-- is stepping down. austin reed has more details in the studio now in this morning’s top story. austin? dantis recently came under fire because of his role in the unty's embattled drug rehab and detox center. the bernalillo county commission confirms dantis handed in his letter of retirement amid allegations of nepotism and cover-ups at the drug treatment facility --- known as mats. that's where his son jamie dantis worked ... until his resignation two weeks ago. jamie dantis was somehow able to keep his job at minute thumbnail 06:32 am mats — despite multiple arrests and policy violations. officials tell us three to four high level employees at mats will also face discipline ... as severe as termination. the press conference starts at 10.
