Aspley 85 included Pete Marsden(c), Steve Davis, Steven Dixon, Darren Brass, Dave Hall, Craig Baldwin, Warren Shrodter, John Benjamin, Damien Leenan, Scott Rowan, Glenn Searle, Danny Greasley (apologies for omissions). Coaches - Bob Kemp / Kev Hourigan. 86 game was amusing, BRL ref didnt turn up and game had to be played on the day so one of Valleys boys were dragged out of the bar... a free for all.86 team went on to Comm Bank 1/4 finals before being beaten by Keebra Park after previously accounting for Kelvin Grove, Sandgate and then St Edmunds Ipswich. Capalaba won Brisbane mid week comp that year with Aspley rolled by Banyo in semis having accounted for Everton Park and Kedron beforehand. 85 team beat Caboolture in Pioneer final before 3rd state of origin after accounting for Kenmore, Banyo, Caboolture, Bundaberg Nth beforehand.
