Aviacsa B737-200 Tuxtla - Mexico City

Aviacsa (Consorcio Aviaxsa, SA de CV) was an airline of Mexico, later a low-cost airline with its headquarters in García, Nuevo León, Mexico. The airline operated domestic services radiating from major hubs at Monterrey, Mexico City and Guadalajara and international service to Las Vegas, Nevada in the USA. According to the Department of Communications and Transportation, as of September 2008, Aviacsa ranked as the seventh largest Mexican airline in domestic and international flights, down from the third largest at the end of 2007. As of July 2009, the airline was grounded by the Transportation and Communications Department of Mexico. The airline ceased all operations in April of 2010. The Boeing 737 is a short- to medium-range, twin-engine narrow-body jet airliner. Originally developed as a shorter, lower-cost twin-engine airliner derived from Boeing’s 707 and 727, the 737 has nine variants with the -600, -700, -800, and -900 currently in production. Originally envisioned in 1964, the 737 first flew in 1967, and entered airline service in February 1968. The 737 is Boeing's only single-aisle, narrow-body airliner currently in production, sometimes serving markets previously filled by 707, 727, 757, DC-9, and MD-80/90 airliners. The 737 has been continuously manufactured by Boeing since 1967 with 6605 aircraft delivered and 2173 orders yet to be fulfilled as of November 2010.
