OH:MISSING WOMAN’S BODY FOUND

Shot 03/01/2011.## Description: Elements: Wire/StoryDescription:Emergency crews in Huron County found the body of a missing woman who was swept away in her car by flood waters Monday morning, according to the Norwalk Fire Department. Lisa Roswell, 51, of North Fairfield, was found dead inside her car, a short distance from where she was last seen, Norwalk fire officials confirmed. Roswell called 911 around 6:05 a.m. Monday after her car had been swept into the floodwaters near the Ohio National Guard Armory on West Main Street. She told the dispatcher at first the water was up to her knees in her blue Volkswagen Beetle convertible, but the car wasn’t moving in the water. About a minute later, the car began to wiggle in the water and broke loose with the flow of the water. A short time later, the call was lost, and the car flowed into a tributary of the Huron River. It was at this time that Pat Spettel and his wife who live along the waterway had just received a call that school was delayed because of flooding. His first reaction was to turn their floodlights on to see how high the water was in the creek feeding the river. "We turned the spotlight on and all of a sudden she screamed out the window and saw these lights floating by and it was the taillights of the car," said Spettel. "You could see the car was kind of floating then all of a sudden one of them went out and then the next one went out and you could see the car kind of bob up." Within moments, he said the fire department was on scene but the car was then under water and out of sight. Rescuers immediately put boats in the water and started searching for her, but the water kept rising, forcing them to pull out and search from the shore. Crews are looking in a specific area across from the armory where they believe her car is located. According to river level reports, the flood level Monday is near where it was in 2006 when Norwalk suffered major flooding. K...
