Yes it can, if it is done right. Now the city has had, for plenty of years, has had a comprehensive plan on doing certain things with bringing in the right business to the Four Corner subarea plan to having ideas of building the north area here in town. We can bring the right businesses. I think the thing that we need to do with Maple Valley is look at the cities around us as well. Look at Covington and what Covington has, look at what Black Diamond has planned to do, and then we’d be unique. We’d offer different opportunities for businesses, different business opportunities to come into Maple Valley. I think we have a unique blend of people out here that would require the right businesses to be here, but the opportunity such as Costco’s IT department who, you know, is getting pushed out of the Issaquah campus. If we built the right business, you know, park here at the north end of town, you’d have a great place to bring in an IT department like that. You could have jobs that support families. Imagine having, like, a Trader Joe’s here in town— it would be a fantastic thing to have. You know, we could still fight for something like a Target who is right now talking to Covington, but really truly we could get that here if we do it right and we, we attract the right businesses by kind of getting rid of some of the policies that the old City Council has set up. We need to be able to work with businesses and give them a little bit as we get from them.
