With the US and European economies battered by the financial meltdown, and recovery expected to take a long time, emerging markets such as Brazil, Russia and India are attracting investors. Money Magazine takes a look at the rewards, and risks, in investing in those markets. The Hong Kong government and Disneyland have reached agreement to expand the theme park. Disney will put up HK$3.63 billion for the work. While the government will not inject new capital, it will convert about $5 billion of loans into equity. While some see this deal as the best possible for the government, other criticise it as too small, and just debt restructuring to little benefit. We will also talk about the great investment value of old fashioned cameras in this chapter.
