## Shot 10/12/2007. ## MILWAUKEE - Dozens of marchers took the streets of downtown Milwaukee Friday to protest a new homeland security rule. It states if there’s a mix up with your social security number, you'll only get 90 days to clear it up with your employer or else you could be fired. The social security administration admits at least 17 million of its records contain errors. Hundreds of marchers delivered a giant, mock 'No Match' letter to Milwaukee's Downtown Social Security office Friday and called on the agency to prevent its own 'No Match' letters being used in unjust firings. The action follows yesterday's federal court decision against a Department of Homeland Security rule that demanded employers give workers just 90 days to resolve a Social Security number mismatch - or fire them. Marchers will call on the Social Security Administration stop opening workers up to abuse by sending letters to employers.
