When Aunt Bee’s friend, Augusta Finch, passes away suddenly Aunt Bee gets depressed over her own mortality. Her spirits are soon lifted by traveling salesman Colonel Harvey when the colonel comes to Aunt Bee's rescue with "Colonel Harvey's Indian Elixir!" Aunt Bee is enchanted by the colonel but Andy and Barney are suspicious. Their suspicions are justified when it turns out that the colonel's elixir is 170 proof! This is a hilarious episode and Frances Bavier does an excellent job playing an intoxicated Aunt Bee. John Dehner plays Colonel Harvey in this episode which originally aired March 11, 1963.
