"Railay and its beaches" Frewcandy’s photos around Krabi, Thailand

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Krabi, Thailand by TravelPod blogger Frewcandy titled "Railay and its beaches" Frewcandy’s travel blog entry: "We left Ko Lanta Island early and caught a minivan to Krabi and then a boat from Krabi to Railay. Railay is part of mainland Thailand but is surrounded by huge limestone outcrops which make it only accessible by boat. We arrived at Railay around mid afternoon where we pulled into East Beach. East Beach is where all the boats arrive and there are lots of mangroves so its not really a swimming beach. Once on land, we made our way to the Ya Ya Resort, then headed out to explore more of Railay. Railay is almost completely covered in resorts which does take away from its beauty and is a very touristy spot. But the beaches are beautiful and it does have a fairly relaxed atmosphere and the huge limestone ridges as well as the rainforest are breathtaking. It's definitely the place to go if you are into rock climbing! We spent the afternoon wandering around the island where we first visited West Beach. This is the most popular swimming beach and we could imagine just how incredible the water would look when it is not the monsoon season. Lots of people were still swimming and the water was warm, but we decided not to go in. Later that day Frew said he had found a surprise for me.
