A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Himeji, Japan by TravelPod blogger Mattersdorff titled "Himeji and it’s magnificent castle" Mattersdorff's travel blog entry: "There's not too much to say about our visit to Himeji apart from the fact that it was well worth the day-trip in order to see the beautiful Himeji Castle... the most visited castle in all Japan. We had to share our visit with quite a few groups of school kids but there were plenty of opportunities to hold back and enjoy the castle and grounds on our own... we wandered the quiet gardens and then ventured up into the castle's interior where we were impressed to see countless Japanese artefacts and placards detailing the history of the castle and the rulers that oversaw it's construction and further fortification. It was funny to read on the web that Himeji was also used in the filming of the James Bond film 'You Only Live Twice' and also Tom Cruise's cringe-worthy The Last Samurai.
