消費者にコメやコメ加工品の産地情報の伝達を義務づけたトレーサビリティー制度開始

1日から、コメやコメの加工品の産地情報を消費者に伝えることを義務づけたトレーサビリティー制度が本格的にスタートする。東京・千代田区のおむすび権米衛では、1日から、消費者の目につきやすいレジの横に、生産者の顔写真を入れた産地表示を新たに設置した。制度の対象となるのは、1日以降に出荷されたコメを使った製品で、お弁当やおにぎりのほか、せんべいやみりんなど多岐にわたるが、すでに多くの店頭で表示が行われている。表示方法は、国産なら「国内産」や「国産」と記載するだけでもよく、外国産の場合は、国名を明記し、外食産業では店内に掲示する必要がある。今回の制度は、2008年の事故米不正転売事件を受けたもので、消費者に対する情報の透明化がいっそう図られることになる。
