He strikes a deal with the vodo man - Ariel goes to facilier because her love is under a spell and is of to marry the wrong girl. She strikes a dreal with Facilier also. the deal is to give their souls to Facilier to save their loved ones. - So Ariel and Herc are now ghosts who live in the neckless of facilier. They are freed from every emotion and they are happy, but they still have a connection with their loved ones. Facilier summons the shadows because ha now have pure souls (so that he can summon them) - He wants to take over the world. - So they shadows go and leave sickness, and darkness wherever they go. - Så Eric and Megara is getting sick when the shadow are released.
