Dr. George Marler in Yellowstone National Park

This video is a memorial to my grandfather, who passed away at the age of 80 when I was still a child. I have fond memories of him but also feel saddened that I can only know him on an adult level through his writings, art, and the memories of my family. Below is a listing of the geysers with the date the picture was taken. Some of the geysers ceased to be active after the great earthquake of August 17, 1959. I tried to put a variety of photographs in from my grandfather’s archive. If you are interested in a particular geyser or spring pool feel free to e-mail as there were many photo's I didn't use for this video.
