YMCA Center Construction Coming Along Well

The Cadillac Area YMCA broke ground on their new community center just about a year ago, and according to the organization, construction on the new facility is coming along well. The YMCA’s Dillon Family Community Center will feature a six-lane pool, a wellness center containing fitness equipment, a jogging track, a teen center and many more community-oriented facilities. While the new community center may still be under construction, the YMCA is already selling memberships; they said the community support of their project has been outstanding. "Our support has been tremendous; we've got over 250 donors that have provided funds to build this.," said Chris Gentry of the Cadillac Area YMCA. "We have a lot of folks that are waiting to become members, and we're anxious to get to the point that we can start providing the services that we're building this for." The YMCA hopes to open the new community center by the end of October.
