Is Profanity Immoral? FRENCH THE LLAMA!

A discussion of whether or not obscenity is unethical. LOVE NEIL THE NERD? TELL YOUR FRIENDS: BLIP.TV: FACEBOOK: TWITTER: Continuing in the theme of trying to figure out what morals I should adhere to, I discuss whether "bad words" are immoral to use. I personally think that since insulting someone with a bad word is encroaching on them, and therefore violates the second law. However, I don’t think that using vulgar language is inherently immoral. If someone just likes saying a certain epithet, I don't think that they should be judged. That's just the culture that they came from. This is my own personal realization after being raised that using bad language is a sin. Jesus said: "Let your yes be yes and your no be no, and anything more comes from the Devil." In addition, Paul makes very clear that we should not do or say anything that might hurt another believer's faith. However, where does it say that it is wrong to say: "I'm Walter Chilcotting hungry today!" Yeah, why is that bad? It's just adding emphasis. And extending that, why is it bad to use a vulgar term in place of "Walter Chilcotting?" I think that this most has to do with my own realization that I should not take hate comments seriously. I have been so glad that nearly all of the ones I have received on the vlog so far have been positive, but I'm not going to let it bother me if as I get more popular I start getting trolls.
