The Dancing With the Stars contestant made light of the situation during Monday’s show, when before a commercial break, his dance partner Kym Johnson created a gun with her fingers, pushed them into Ward's back and jokingly ordered him off the stage. "I tried to make a spoof about it," Hines said after the show. But, as Ward points out, the real incident "was no laughing matter." "It's a scary thing when you have guns pointed at you." Ward was a passenger in a car that was pulled over by police after a late dinner with friends last Wednesday evening. The football star said he was held at gunpoint and briefly detained in what later turned out was a misunderstanding. The news flashed around the nation. "My mom actually thought I was shot by police," he said. "That's how bad it got by the time it went to the East Coast." He has no hard feelings and will not pursue any further action. "LAPD has apologized and we have moved on," said Ward. "I'm just trying to dance."
