See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com Newport and Laguna "We were excited to reach Newport Beach because Brian’s sister Chrissy was meeting us for the weekend, she lives in LA. It was really nice to see Chrissy as we only get to see her a few times a year. Chrissy drove us around Newport Beach and Laguna Beach - both were beautiful and were filled with what you would expect, exceptional homes, range rovers, surfers, and wanna-bes. Since the weather still wasn't beach weather, we decided to do more hiking and drove to Crystal Cover State Park. At one of the beach points of the park is an historic beach community where apparently the movie Beaches was filmed. These quaint houses can be rented, one needs to sign up months, possibly years in advance, to be able to rent the homes - they look really cool.
