Loss 14: Alaska Size Pizza, Olivehurst, CA - Neighbors Pizza

Please visit my website at: stephaniesamerica.com This is an 11X speed video of my loss on the Alaska Size Challenge at Neighbors Pizza in Olivehurst, California, USA from August 5, 2010. This was the fifth time I had tried this challenge. I failed the previous four times as well (all solo attempts). The video is bookended by a few still photos and text explaining the challenge and my results. The actual video portion runs from about 0:31 to about 4:11, in case you want to skip the stills. The song on this video is "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z, featuring Alicia Keys. The challenge is for two people to eat a 2-topping 24" pizza in 45 minutes or less. The owner may let one person do it in 75 minutes or less. If you win, your pizza is free, you get a t-shirt, and you get your pic with a star on it on the Wall of Fame/Shame. If you fail, your pizza will cost you $29.95 + $2.47 tax = $32.42 total (paid in advance). The price includes a free drink. As of August 30, 2010, there have been about 4-5 winning two-person teams in this contest (all men). No solo competitors have ever won this challenge. The contest started January 22, 2010. Unfortunately, I was not able to complete this challenge and had 11 out of 32 slices remaining at the end. Normally I have only five slices left. I will not make excuses, other than to say I had an urge to use the restroom about 34 minutes into the contest, as if my bowel was full ...
