Dissidia 012 Duodecim: How to Feint with Tifa

Tifa’s feint is triggered by hitting X at the proper time in order to warp a fair distance. The warp stalls your attack, potentially sets up more convenient spacing (Tifa will always try to get behind the opponent if range allows), and dodging through enemy attacks.The warp distance does not seem very high, but it's substantial enough to be a very strong asset to counterbalance her very short range. Neither holding X nor tapping X rapidly seem to increase the range of the teleport. There is a video uploaded by NeroDB displaying the different moves Tifa can feint. Their timing and method can be slightly different depending on the attack used. In this video, for her HP attacks and 3-hit ground BRV, you simply hit X right before the animation begins, and then continue your attack by inputting the attack command after the warp. For her aerial attack and ground spin kick, you can only feint right before the second hit animation goes through, no sooner. They're both very quick attacks so you'll need to hit O and X at almost the same time. Lastly, if you do not input an attack after Tifa's feint, she will stagger very much like Tidus does upon missing an Energy Rain. However, throughout this staggering animation you are able to delay your attacks until you input the command.
