「FIFA女子ワールドカップドイツ 2011」決勝で、なでしこジャパンが世界ランキング1位のアメリカをPK戦の末破り、初優勝を果たした。なでしこジャパンは、日本時間19日朝、成田に凱旋(がいせん)する予定。なでしこジャパンの選手たちがドイツ・フランクフルトのスタジアムをあとにしたのは、試合が終わってから、およそ2時間がたった現地時間18日午前1時半ごろだった。スタジアム入り口では、大勢のサポーターたちがバスを囲み、ニッポンコールが起こり、選手たちは手を振って応えていた。また、フランクフルト市内のパブでは、深夜になっても興奮冷めやらぬ日本人サポーターが、ビールを飲んで、なでしこの勝利を祝っていた。なでしこジャパンは日本時間18日夕方、宿泊先のホテルを出て空港に向かい、19日朝、成田に凱旋する予定。
