宮城・仙台市で、東日本大震災からの復興を願い、東北6県の夏祭りを一堂に集めたイベント「東北六魂祭」が16日から開かれています。仙台市青葉区の定禅寺通りでは午後5時40分現在、東北6県の夏祭りが共演するパレードが行われています。祭りのメーンイベントともあり、会場はものすごく熱気があります。現在、各地の郷土の踊りが次々と披露されています。午前10時からの開祭式には、1,000人以上の人が集まり、東日本大震災で亡くなった方に対して黙とうがささげられたあと、青森市の鹿内 博市長が、「東北六魂祭、開祭を宣言いたします」と開祭を宣言しました。東日本大震災を受けて、「鎮魂・復興」をテーマに行われる東北六魂祭。仙台に東北6県の夏祭りを集結させることで、8月に開催される各地の本祭りへの誘客と東北全体を活気づけようと行われています。観客は「きょうはまとめて6つ見られるということでしたので、わざわざ静岡から来ました」、「いやもう、いっぱい人がいっぱいで、どうしようもないですね」、「これからもやってほしいなと思いますけども。今回だけじゃなくて」などと話しました。6県の夏祭りが一堂に見られるとあって、会場は全国からのお客さんで大変なにぎわいを見せています。祭りのパレードは、16日午後7時まで行われますが、トリを務めるのが、「青森ねぶた」です。東北六魂祭用に特別に作られたもので、仙台藩主・伊達政宗が地震に見立てた暴れ馬をかぶとで押さえ込む様子が表現されています。16日午後6時すぎに登場予定ということで、会場はますます活気があふれそうです。東北六魂祭は17日まで開かれます。会場では、2日間で10万人の人出を見込んでいます。
