大型で非常に強い台風6号、九州の南海上を北上 20日にかけ九州・四国に接近のおそれ
大型で非常に強い台風6号は、九州の南の海上を北上中で、「海の日」の18日、関東から西の太平洋側では波が高くなっており、警戒が必要となる。18日から19日にかけては、非常に強い勢力を保ったまま北上し、20日にかけて、九州や四国にかなり接近するおそれがある。そのあと、21日にかけて、本州の南岸を東へ進む見込み。今回の台風の特徴は、大きくて勢力が強く、動きが遅いこと。このため、台風が近づく前から雨や風が強まり、荒れた天気が長引くおそれがある。19日正午までの24時間に予想される雨量は、四国地方で500mm、九州南部、東海、近畿で400mm、九州北部で250mm、奄美で200mmなどとなっている。東海から西の太平洋側では、すでに雨や風が強まり、海上は大しけとなっている。そんな中、午前8時すぎ、波浪警報が出ていた神奈川・三浦市の三戸海岸付近で、友人らと岩場から海に飛び込んで遊んでいた18歳の男子高校生が、行方不明となっている。
