日本“隼鸟号”小行星探测器踏上回家之旅

隼鸟号探测器是日本宇宙航空研究开发机构利用即将返回地球的隼鸟号小行星探测器，对正在研发的小行星撞击地球预测系统的精确度进行测试，这再次引起了人们对隼鸟号航天器的关注。　　隼鸟号是日本研制并于2003年5月9日用MV运载火箭成功发射的小行星取样航天器。其探测目标是丝川小行星。它在升空后，即在地面指挥控制中心的遥控下，沿着外切地球公转轨道、内切丝川小行星公转轨道的预定路线疾驰而去，并于2005年9月初与目标天体交会，最终于9月12日飞抵离丝川小行星20千米的预设位置，成为后者的人造卫星。当天它就成功地向地面发回一批近距离拍摄的丝川小行星图像，说明其技术状态稳定，工作性能正常。日本宇宙航空研究开发机构25号宣布，当地时间25号下午两点30分左右，执行丝川小行星探测任务的“隼鸟”号探测器调整了离子发动机的状态，正式开始了回归地球的旅途。“隼鸟”号原本搭载有四台离子发动机，但因为故障其中三台已停止工作。目前“隼鸟”号只能依靠一台发动机继续飞行，争取在2010年返回地球。
