PHIL McGRAW talks to our KEVIN FRAZIER about his involvement with BRITNEY SPEARS, reiterating his help was requested specifically by her family, saying, "I want to make it very clear that I went to see Britney at the request of her family. That was private and it will stay private. I’ve been working with this family behind the scenes for a long time, longer than you can imagine. We decided to pay her a visit in the hospital. Getting into Cedars-Sinai is like getting into Fort Knox. I was met at the elevator by a family member then we all left at the same time, because she had been discharged." On the tabloid criticism surrounding his association with Britney, "They are waiting for her next meltdown. These are the people that are stalking her and they want to criticize me for trying to help her, for trying to bring help to her in cooperation with the family that loves her. Get real. Somebody needs to step up and get this young woman in to some quality care — and I do not apologize one wit, not one second, for trying to make that happen."
