A Loro Ciuffenna, lungo il torrente Ciuffenna, funzionavano 15 mulini, l’unico rimasto attivo e perfettamente conservato si trova nel centro del paese, si tratta del mulino ad acqua più vecchio della Toscana (secolo XI) uno tra i primi con meccanismo ad albero verticale costruiti in Europa.
