August 13, 2008: The camera lenses need cleaning! One side of the nest is failing, so it is being reinforced. Perhaps this is why the eagles abandoned this nest for a new one. They knew the nest wasn’t safe. Hancock Wildlife Foundation

It seems that several people love the eagles like I do so I thought I would take this video of an eagle up close because most people don’t get to see an eagle like this. I see eagles every day like this and it is one of the things that makes it so wonderful to live where I live. I love the eagles!

Young eagles are released from hack boxes in Tennessee. Thanks to the American Eagle Foundation for their care and promotion of eagles. DDT and loss of habitat endangered these fine birds, but with the help of wildlife organizations, the eagles are again flourishing and flying free. www.eagles.org

A fishing net got put out to be repaired and the eagles came. They pick all the fish out of the net. This little video camera blurs if I zoom in so I didn’t zoom in on this video(except at the end on the one with the big piece of fish)-this is how close the eagles let us get to them.
