The Statue of Liberty was briefly evacuated Wednesday. The evacuation was a precaution as there was a faulty sensor in an elevator shaft. (July 21)

Since September 11th, the crown on the Statue of Liberty has been off limits to the public. But that will soon change and tourist can once again go right to the top of Lady Liberty. (May 8)
