Sears Holdings (SHLD), parent to Sears as well as Kmart, posted a wider loss for its third quarter today, more than analysts expected. The loss totaled $218 million, or $1.98 per share, compared to $127 million, or $1.09 per share, in the same quarter last year.

Sears Holdings (SHLD), parent to its namesake stores as well as Kmart, posted a narrower loss for the second quarter today, but missed analyst estimates. Sears said its loss totaled $39 million, or $0.35 per share, compared to $94 million, or $0.79 per share, in the same quarter last year.

Sears Holdings (SHLD) posted a loss for the second straight quarter today, losing $127 million, or $1.09 per share, as compared to a bigger loss of $146 million, or $1.16 per share, in the same quarter last year. Revenue dipped 4 percent to $10.2 billion, beating analyst expectations.

Sears Holdings (SHLD) disappointed Wall Street this morning with a huge loss compared to last year. Sears Holdings lost $94 million, or 79 cents per share for the quarter, as compared to a gain of $65 million, or 50 cents per share, in the same quarter last year.
