Robots took over the University of Utah Tuesday as part of the 13th annual Mechanical Engineering Design Day. Freshmen students built the robots from the ground up and will compete for a free pass on a final exam.

Utah students in engineering and computer science are building hybrid robots. The robots are real machines that do whatever they have to do to travel.
