Kagome is apparently the reincarnation of Kaede’s late older sister. The Carrion Crow is after the sacred jewel and kidnaps Kagome, but Inuyasha shows up to save her. After Kagome defeats the Carrion Crow, the Sacred Jewel shatters into pieces.
