Google (GOOG) said today it had agreed to buy Norway-based Global IP Solutions, for $2.12 per share in cash, for a total value of $68.2 million. The offer is a 142% premium over the stocks value on January 11, when Global IP Solutions announced it was reviewing an offer from a potential buyer.

Sprint Nextel (S) has unveiled its HTC EVO 4G mobile phone, which runs on Googles (GOOG) Android software. Late yesterday, Sprint said the new 4G phone makes it possible to download video, pictures and music faster, so users can watch streaming video on the go.
