During his first prime-time address on Feb. 9, 2009, President Obama commented on New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez' admission of using steroids. Obama called it "depressing news" and said it tarnishes an entire era of MLB.

Tom Hicks, the owner of the Texas Rangers, the team which Alex Rodriguez played for when he was using steroids for three years, said he was shocked to hear that his former player’s admission. "I felt I was deceived," said Hicks.
