An 8-year-old girl who was abducted while playing outside a Fresno home escaped from her captor Tuesday morning after a driver cut off the suspect’s vehicle, police said.

The California Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a missing girl who was apparently abducted Monday night. Elisa Cardenas, 8, was kidnapped just before 8:30 p.m. in Fresno, authorities said.
