Despite the cold, Syracuse firefighters made quick work of a fire in a home on Syracuse’s west side Wednesday evening. Only one room of three story structure at 609 Stolp Avenue was damaged by the flames.

While it has not been easy to keep local roads drivable the past few days, it’s been equally tough clearing all the snow from huge parking lots at many popular locations. Still, parking spaces must be cleared because shoppers haven't stopped preparing for Christmas.
