放射性セシウムに汚染されたわらを食べていた福島・浅川町産の牛42頭について、大手スーパーのイオンは、出荷された42頭のうち、5頭の牛の肉を、東京や石川など1都4県にあるイオンの店舗内の精肉店や、グループのスーパー、あわせて14店舗で販売していたと発表した。4月27日から6月20日にかけて、およそ320kgを販売したという。イオンは今後、農水省が調査を要請した1都10県の肉牛について、仕入れ前に全頭検査を実施するとしている。

関西電力・大飯原発1号機で、緊急時に炉心を冷却する装置の一部に異常を示す警報が鳴り、関西電力は16日夜、トラブルの原因を調べるため、原子炉を手動停止した。関西電力によると、15日夜、原子炉の冷却ができなくなった際に原子炉に注入するホウ酸水を蓄えるタンクの1台が、圧力の異常を示した。関西電力は原因調査のため、16日午後9時ごろ、運転を手動停止した。大飯1号機は現在、定期検査の最終段階の100%出力状態で、4カ月間調整運転を続け、近く、国へ最終試験を申請する予定だった。このトラブルを受け、関電は117万5,000kWの電力が供給できなくなり、関電管内の夏の電力供給は、厳しい局面...

台風6号の接近にともない、福島第1原発では、屋外にある設備や機器などを雨や風から守るための対策が進められている。福島第1原発では、台風で機器が損傷したり、雨水が流れ込むことで、汚染水が増えることなどが懸念されている。このため東京電力は、低濃度の汚染水を移送している「メガフロート」という人工島を、風で飛ばされないよう護岸にくくりつけたほか、水を送るホースが外れないように、切り離す作業などを行った。また、雨の侵入を防ぐため、タービン建屋に仮の屋根を設置する工事を進めているという。
